In our project, psychological support means being close to the children. Showing them love and affection daily. We organize games, dances, and listening sessions to guarantee psychological support.
The children are given toys, books, and other items to help them forget their difficult situations.
Playtime is organized within our foundation or in the refugee camps with all the children.
The deteriorating healthcare system in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) needs urgent help, as it faces measles and cholera epidemics that are killing thousands of children, an estimated 3.3 million children have vital unmet health needs, and 9.1 million children across the country require humanitarian assistance.
Many of the most vulnerable children live in one of the three conflict-affected eastern provinces ravaged by the Ebola epidemic. Extreme militia violence, including attacks on health centers, forced almost a million people from their homes in 2023. In this situation, it is even more difficult for children to access essential medical care.
Our Actions
Psychological support: we set up free mobile consultation clinics for children showing signs of illness. these clinics are run by our volunteers who have medical knowledge and training.
To combat the diseases of dirty homes and other infections that can result from lack of hygiene, we are building public toilets for households with children under 10. We also help with the channelling of drinking water, and strive to ensure that every child has access to it in the most remote areas. for children with serious health problems, we facilitate care at nearby hospitals.
